David and Linda have been married for over 40 years. In 1981, David was diagnosed with COPD and simple tasks like mowing the lawn and walking down the stairs became a challenge for David. In 2004, David started clinical trials at S. Carolina Pharmaceutical Research and was able to further get his COPD under control while receiving first rate healthcare and personalized attention from the SCPR staff. "Everyone there is so nice and caring," says David. "It feels like you are a part of a family and they really care about you." He and his wife got so close to the staff that they helped out Heather, their study coordinator, at her wedding.
